Tish & Jesse have taught many workshops on decorative painting techniques & mural painting. This demonstration will take you outside of “the box” presenting an innovative approach to drawing, painting, designing stencils & more on or off the project site. We will show you how to use your computer as a library resource for saving & projecting images. Anything you can think of, artistically, can be recreated with accuracy & speed regardless of your skill level. Beginners will become advanced, and advanced will become experts. The class will involve visual demonstrations and all students will be invited to participate and take home whatever they create! This class will show you doors that you didn’t know were there & teach you how to open them. This artistic lecture/hands-on demo will inspire the students to get their imagery correct from the start. We will be projecting and drawing/painting images directly on to large sheets of paper. If the class is full, we may not be able to produce any image for each student, but we will try. What you take home is a process that has taken me a lifetime to develop.
Also we are pleased at this time to be able to introduce our patent pending process “Fauxsaics”tm, which is a process that transforms almost any surface into an extremely life-like dimensional mosaic. At a fraction of the time of the actual labor intensive mosaic process, “Fauxsaics” tm will save you money, plus it can be applied to floors, counter tops, walls, ceilings, and on almost any other surface you can imagine with the dimensional products that are available today. With “Fauxsaics” tm, unlimited potential and customized product designs, the possibilities are endless.
Supplies to Bring: An open mind, any image they want to create.
Supplies/tools/stencils student keeps: If time allows for it, each student will be encouraged to create an image of their choice to replicate with speed & accuracy.

Move beyond stenciling with an in-depth approach to creating your own trompe l’oeil borders for your decorative work. All levels of students are welcome to this workshop, though it’s probably a good idea to have some experience with acrylics and drawing. We’ll be painting a simple egg-and-dart molding that can be translated into many different applications and colors. Using acrylic paints, we will create 3 different color ways (gold, antique bronze, and stone) as we talk about the underlying principles of ornamental painting.
