This is a detail of a large piece made for a casino in Biloxi, Miss. It is painted, laser cut steel. To quote the artist-”Whether it’s verre églomisé re-interpreted for a modernist, chinoiserie with a 40′s slant or a minimalist wall where color and texture tell the story , Bricejl considers the research for the perfect solution to be the “fun” part of the project”.(source)

One worries that ‘nothing’ will be new in the art world, with one artist ‘lifting’ from another Well, that is never to be a concern in my book. I’m sure that the charcoal and rust creations done by ancient man on cave walls was inspired by a work performed by another fellow ‘artist’. That is the nature of the beast. These picturs are amazing – with obvious nods to Asian, classical, ancient and new Italian and mid-Eastern classics. But they have been taken in heart and re-purposed with fresh idea to a wonderful and delightful new collection of form and color. I’m thrilled!
