In this workshop we will do a mural in Pompeii technique. This technique is really fast. We paint on a textured base coat using Golden fluid acrylics, and give it cracks, flakes and a wonderful aging patina. Because it is so fast, it will be a money making technique for you in the future. You will learn how to build the textured base coat, transfer techniques, some trompe lóeil effects, using the paint stick (mahl stick), aging patina.

Supplies to Bring: Students MUST bring these BASIC SUPPLIES plus: Painting stick (mahl stick), ruler, 2 – 3 spalter #2″ artist brushes, 2 pointed artist brushes (1 small & 1 medium, 2 bristle brushes 1/4″ – 1/2″, 1 piece of sand paper (#100 – 140 grit), small rag, disposable plates (palettes) and small water bucket
