Adding color to a wall seems to be everyone’s first reaction. And its true – adding a splash of color to a room definitely livens thing up. But a flat color doesn’t always achieve what a textured wall can do – adding a sensual richness to the space that goes beyond the hues. This Molten Metal Finish is one of my favorites! Not only does is have the wonderful texture of Venetian plaster, but also has so much depth with a subtle metallic shimmer.
Materials:
Synthetic Venetian plaster any light neutral color or untainted.
Modern masters paint in warm silver
Modern masters paint in Olympic gold
Faux effects stain and seal in walnut
Benjamin Moore or your favorite gaze medium
Thick nap roller
Leon neon brush
Rags
Chip brush
Pan Tape
Steps:
1)apply venetian plaster with trowel 1/4 to 1/8 thick 100% coverage.
2) while plasters wet pull in an up and down motion with roller to create a waterfall effect floor to ceiling all over. Let dry.

3)apply with fresh roller modern masters warm silver. 100% coverage may need 2 coats depending on weather, absorption.

4)apply modern masters Olympic gold paint in a random pattern about 60% coverage. Do not cover all silver.
5) Once the paint is dried thoroughly, mix up a mixture of stain and seal walnut with glaze 50/50.
Apply with Leon neon Allier, while wet drag rags up and down following plasters pattern.
6.) Let dry. You’re done!

Instead of using Venetian plaster could you use a joint compound (sheet rock mud)then paint it once it is dry? I understand it’s an extra step but Venetian plaster can get spendy.
